Solleys Cove Park is an Anne Arundel County Park in Curtis Bay which offers a public beach launch site into Curtis Creek. This Anne Arundel County Park is open from sunrise to sunset and has had a public boat and kayak launch since July 2021.

To the left of the kayak launch site is Solleys Cove, known as a fishing spot.  Across from the launch site, the creek divides into Marley Creek and Furnace Creek, where you’ll find mainly residential docks and waterfront beaches with restaurants (e.g. Point Pleasant, and Ramshead Dockside) that you can visit. To the left along Marley creek you’ll find Brewers island across from the Marley Creek Marina.

To the right of the kayak launch site, is an industrial zone that requires more caution as there is increased commercial traffic, underwater hazards, and leads to the Patapsco River on the Chesapeake Bay. On your right, you’ll pass the US Coast Guard Yard at Hawkins Point, and then pass under the I-695 bridge, which on the right is JAWS marina. Then you can explore the three areas of the Curtis Bay Ship graveyards, (Baltimore Heritage – Dr. Langley Interview) and pass WR Grace on Sledd Point, and the CNX Coal pier just past Ferry Point on the left as you reach the Bay, where Fort Armistead Park is just past the Key Bridge (also the 695).

After paddling, please visit the American Legion Post 277 club or waterfront tiki bar after 4P M-F or 1P on weekends in Solleys Cove Park OR Thumpers Lounge after 12 noon in Curtis Bay at 4600 Curtis Ave. Let Eric, Thumpers owner, know you are CKC members. Both are local lounge bars and restaurants worth seeking out.
For CKC to be a good neighbor,
1. Do NOT park in the lot in front of the American Legion, unless going into their club or outdoor tiki bar. They ticket and tow.
2. Do NOT walk into the Pasadena Paintball Park (P3) game areas (about 12 fields), when there is a tournament or party. Safety gear is required to be worn.

Solleys Cove park is a short drive off I-695, from the last exit Eastbound before the Francis Scott Key Bridge (EZ-Pass required to cross). Drive along MD-173 – Ft. Smallwood Rd., and turn Right onto Pittman Rd. until you reach Carbine Rd. – an industrial zone. Turn left on Carbine to head towards the entrance of the Solleys Cove Park, as you drive into the quiet, woodsy park, you’ll come to the American Legion building, follow the road around it to arrive at the public boat launch parking lot, where you should park when out kayaking. The CKC rack is directly to the left of the boat ramp and kayak beach launch.

Solleys Cove Park is open from dawn to dusk and is located at 7360 Carbide Road in Curtis Bay. The parking lot has long spaces for trucks and trailers and regular car parking spots.
