About Us
Canton Kayak Club (CKC) is a non-profit dedicated to empowering our community to learn and enjoy kayaking at an affordable price.
Membership
Canton Kayak Club (CKC) is a non-profit, affordable kayak share program with multiple docks throughout central Maryland. Seasonal memberships run from May through October and include orientation training, unlimited use of club kayaks, paddles and life jackets, guided group outings, and social activities.
For those new to kayaking, we make the water accessible by teaching the basic skills to start, offering group outings to practice, and social activities to connect.
For those more experienced, we offer opportunities to expand and combine skill sets and create member-led initiatives such as overnight camping, wildlife photography, birdwatching, fishing, and community service.
Community
CKC is a growing cooperative, motivated by volunteers with a sense of purpose and community. To enhance our program offerings, we partner with organizations that focus on outdoor recreation, environmental issues, paddle sports, and accessibility and diversity to increase our value to our members.
