Paddle Pals; July 4th Paddle @ Fells Point w/ Colleen and Rob; Friday, July 4, 8:00-10:00 pm
Join Colleen and Rob as they lead a special paddle for the USA’s 249th birthday. There are some rules around this paddle that everyone needs to be aware of. First and foremost, you need to stay with the group. Everyone will be required to wear reflector vests and lights on their kayaks (provided). And most importantly, listen to your paddle leaders. We, the paddle leaders, reserve the right to adjust this paddle based on heavier-than-usual boat traffic and Coast Guard adjustments to the harbor (for example, there is no boat traffic permitted 800 feet of the designated area for the fireworks barge (appr. position 39 16′ 36,50″ N, 076 35′ 53.36″ W – NW of the Domino Sugar). These safety zones will be enforced on July 4 from 8:30P to 11P for the fireworks display scheduled at 9P.

On Water 8:15 pm
Back to dock: 10 pm
Limited to 8 paddlers
Bring snacks and water.
Parking can be interesting in Fells Point. There is a paid lot on Thames Street that’s just a short walk to the dock if you’re not interested in the hunt for a space on the street or are unable to walk/bike/water taxi to the dock.
Please check the weather before travel/keep an eye on Slack for any small craft advisories or other marine advisories that would necessitate cancellation.
