Paddle Pal; Full Moon Paddle@Fells Point w/Martha, Carissa & Duane; Monday, June 29, 7:30-9:00 pm
Join Martha, Carissa, and Duane as they lead a special paddle for June’s full moon. The rules around this paddle that everyone needs to be aware of: First and foremost, stay with the group. Everyone is required to wear reflector vests and lights on their kayaks (provided). You should be a confident paddler for this paddle. And most importantly, listen to your paddle leaders.
This will be a Full “Strawberry” Moon and a micro-moon. It reaches 100% illumination at exactly 7:56 PM EDT. Because the Moon is near its apogee (farthest point from Earth), it will appear slightly smaller than an average full moon. (From the Farmer’s Almanac)
